He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Harper and Anna Mae Purdue Harper; his former wife Nettie Ann Harper; his siblings, David Harper and Annis Frances Newman; and his granddaughter Angel Ann Kersey.
He is survived by: his wife Tracy Harper; his children, Kathy Faye Thompson, Melissa K. Harper, Hope Anne McWhorter, Dale Truman Harper and Larry Duane Harper (Jennifer); and his brothers, Marion O. Harper and William L. Harper. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a multitude of friends.
