He was predeceased by: his father Weldon Wayne Rawls; and his brother Steve Rawls. He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Goodman Rawls of Gonzales, TX; his wife Marsha Coleman Rawls; his children, Joshua Rawls (Tina) of Lillington, Caleb Rawls (Adrianne) of Lillington, Nathan Rawls (Holly) of Erwin, Rachel Baucom (Adam) of Lillington and Grace Harvey (Josh) of Lillington; his siblings, Kent Rawls (Brenda) of Mont Belvieu, TX and Susan Henley (Tommy) of Gonzales, TX; and his sister-in-law Sharon Rawls of Highlands, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
