He is survived by: his mother Betty Ragan Buchanan; his close friend Melanie Godwin; his daughters, Jessica Byrd (Kevin) and Michaela Price (Justin); his siblings, Scott Buchanan and Teresa Williams (Jim); and his grandchildren, Bobby Byrd, Lola Byrd and Lyla Price. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
