She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Dickens of Lillington and Stella Watkins Dickens of Lillington; her brother Roy Lee Dickens; and her husband John "Buddy" Thomas. She is survived by: her brother Mack Dickens; her daughters, Malinda Holder (Eddie) and Lisa FitzGibbon (Terrence); her grandchildren, Tye FitzGibbon, Taylor Duggan (Joseph), Megan Holder, Stephanie FitzGibbon, Victoria FitzGibbon and John Thomas; and her great grandchild Jett Duggan.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (6670 Old US Hwy 421, Lillington, NC 27546). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
