It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Lewis Hendricks (Lillington, North Carolina), who passed away on April 15, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Lewis; her husband John Kirkwood Hendricks, Sr. (Kirk); her son John Kirkwood Hendricks, Jr. (Hendricks); and her siblings, Mildred McDonald, Herbert Lewis, Jr. and Leslie Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Brody (Rees) of Mooresville, NC, Kim Truesdale (Kent) of Angier, NC, Polly Perret of Angier, NC, Paula Brown of Lexington, SC and Artie Hendricks (Valerie) of Raleigh, NC.; and her brother Sinclair Lewis of Anderson, SC.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the John Hendricks Memorial Scholarship Fund for Laurens District 55 High School Students at United Community Bank, 101 W. Main Street, Laurens, SC 29360.
