She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara McDaniel and Mac McDaniel of Surf City; and her sister Debra Lee Lane of Knightdale. She is survived by: her husband Carl Thigpen, Jr.; her children, Christy Thomas and Carl Patrick Thigpen, III; her sister Bobbie Ann Austin; and her grandchildren, Landon, Mackenzie Thomas and Ethan Thigpen.
