He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude McDonald and Callie Holder Cummings; and his sister Peggy Holder. He is survived by: his wife Sue Pate Cummings; his children, Allison Cummings of Fuquay-Varina and David Cummings of Wilmington; his stepson Link Neal (Christy) of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren, Lily, Lincoln and Lando; and his brothers, Ted Cummings (Robin) of Sanford, Fred Cummings (Martha) of Lillington and Ned Cummings of Lillington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
