Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved June McDonald of Lillington, North Carolina, born in Cherokee, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 82, on July 10, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Bowers and Ruth Bowers; her husband Charles Edward McDonald; and her siblings, Peggy B. Heckerman, Jerry L. Bowers and Tony R. Bowers.
She is survived by: her daughter Paula McDonald Whitsell (Marty); her grandson Caleb M. Whitsell; her sister-in-law Sandra Bowers; and her nephews, Ray Roberts and Charlie Roberts. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
She unselfishly donated her body to science in the hopes that someone could learn something either about her cancer, her AMD or as a teaching tool.
