She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Stone Sloan and C. B. Sloan, Jr.; and her siblings, Patricia Peedin and Charles Sloan III. She is survived by: her husband Joe Buchanan; her children, Lisa Wangelin (James) of Fuquay-Varina and Brian Buchanan of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Abbey Wangelin and Nicholas Wangelin; and her siblings, Joyce Sloan of Broadway, Larry Sloan of Dobson and Jerry Sloan (Bonnie) of Sanford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
