She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Troy and Nina Sherman Squires; her husband James Keene, Sr.; her daughter Janet Keene; her grandson Aaron Jacobs; and her siblings, Theodore Squires and Elizabeth Pittman.
She is survived by: her children, James Keene, Jr. (D. J.) of Lillington and Janell Walters (Roy) of Lillington; her grandchildren, Tori Booth (Lisa), Emily Booth and Ethan Booth; her stepgrandchildren, Loral Walters and Keelee Walters; and her siblings, Raeford Squires (Aiko) of Florida and Shirley Jones of Harrells, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
