He was predeceased by: his parents, James Taylor and Emma Underwood Taylor; and his siblings, Dot Thompson, Buddy Taylor, Nellie Fogg, Ruby Herring and Eugene Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Taylor (Kinton); his daughters, Shirley Gaither (Joe Gaither) of Tyrone, GA and Barbara Patterson (Mike Patterson) of Lillington, NC; his granddaughters, Kristen Speagle, Amanda Ashley (Travis) and Ashlee Patterson (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Gabriel Hopper, Trenton Ashley, Anslee Yeary, Peyton Speagle and Parker Rose Speagle; and his brother Ray Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Methodist Church, 2212 Nursery Road, Lillington, NC 27546.
