With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Reginald Newtown of Lillington, North Carolina, born in North Bangor, New York, who passed away on October 28, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Newtown and Selina Barber Newtown; and his siblings, Kathleen Oakes, Clara Coty, Marie Murray and Clayton Barber.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Sheryl Prue of Pinellas Park, FL; his children, Shari Coleman of Pinellas Park, FL, Michael Newtown (Wendy) of North Bangor, NY, Jeanette Messenger (Kevin) of Hartsville, SC, Douglas Newtown (Maria) of Phoenix, AZ and Patrick Newtown (Brandy) of Bunnlevel; his grandchildren, Brent Newtown, Theresa Hopkins (Robert), Nathan Crandall (Jordan), Brittany Newtown, Scott Messenger, Austin Helms (Paige), Ryan Jones (Caitlyn), Jonathan Messenger (Courtney), Miranda Messenger, Jessika Newtown (Ryan Sharp), Ronan Newtown and Kallie Newtown; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Newtown, Belle Newtown, Amelia Newtown, Jase Messenger, Dylan Hopkins, Brynn Messenger, Graycon Helms, Ezekiel Messenger, Mia Jones, Tynleigh Messenger, Caleb Hopkins and Stetson Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
