He was predeceased by: his mother Lois Pearl Stanley Allen; his sister Margie Allen; his nephews, Dennis Lloyd Brown and Randy Allen Newsome; and his niece Kimberly Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Becky Byrd Allen; his daughter Pamela Allen Sutton (Blaine); his granddaughters, Jane Elizabeth Sutton and Rebekah Margaret Sutton; his sisters, Patricia Allen Brown (Weldon) and Bobbie Allen Newsome (Richard); his nephew Perry Daniel Brown; and his great-niece Lindsey Lynette Brown.
