We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Jewel Byrd of Lillington, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orestes Ennis and Berta Hair Ennis; her husbands, Vernon Lewis Godwin and Worth Lee Byrd, Sr.; her son Ronnie Lewis Godwin; and her siblings, Eugene, Gilmer, Gordon Ennis, Thelma Butler, Olive Ruth Coats, Mary Ellen Kluttz and Wanda Reid Harrington.
She is survived by: her children, Worth Lee Byrd, Jr. and Kathy Byrd (David); her grandchildren, Carol Ann Sherman (Alan), Valerie Godwin, Natalie Lewis Brozy (Kirk), Allen Lewis, Sarah Kathryn Turpin (April) and Sara Williamson (Greg); her great grandchildren, Sarah Sherman, Jewelee Turpin, Andi Lace, Owen Grey, Mary Scarlett Turpin, Madison, Matthew and Mia Williamson; and her close friend Rita Marsh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the church requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
