It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Godwin of Lillington, North Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Core Godwin and William Sion Godwin; and his siblings, Carolyn Jernigan, William Howard "Bill" Godwin and Gary Tootsie Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Weller Godwin; his daughter Rachel Laurel Godwin Smith (James Smith); and his siblings, Glenda Smith, Shelby Porter, Margie Godwin, Lorraine Johnson, Teresa Baker, George Godwin, Jimmie Godwin, Sr. and Donald Godwin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
