She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Clarendon and Hassie Elizabeth Brown Mason; her daughter Allison Upchurch Smith; her siblings, Reynolds Mason, Alva Lee Thomas (Rex), Janie Seagroves (Charles) and Kay Upchurch (Bennie); and also Margaret Griffin O'Quinn Patterson.
She is survived by: her husband Durward Upchurch; her daughter Angie Upchurch Jordan of Mamers; her grandsons, Garrett Kevin Jordan of Conway, SC, Logan Elizabeth Smith (Nick Weaver) of Mamers, Evan Wade Jordan (Katlyn Cole) of Conway, SC and Connor Bradley Smith of Greenville, NC; her sister Libby Mason; her son-in-law Bradley Smith of Lillington; her nephews, Al Upchurch (Brenda) of Broadway and Jason Upchurch of Lillington; and her great-nephew Tripp Chandler (Jennifer) of Sanford. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren.
