He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Charles Gutzwiller, Jr. and Evelyn Hublitz Gutzwiller VanArsdale; and his brother William James Gutzwiller. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Eskut Gutzwiller; his children, Charles Gutzwiller (Deanna) of Alabama and Bonnie Lewis (John) of Alabama; his stepdaughters, Lisa Hopkins (Rick) of Garner, Adrienne Burliuk of Fayetteville and Elizabeth Nichols (Jamie) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Dewey, Khloe Gutzwiller, Nicole, Hannah, Gabriella, Madison Lewis, Andrew, Alexander, Aubrey Hopkins, MacKenzie Armstrong, Hailey Burliuk, Jacob and Harper Nichols; and his siblings, Jeffery Gutzwiller of New Jersey and Lorie Gutzwiller of Virginia.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Coats Community Church (275 N McKinley St, Coats, NC 27521).
