We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2023, at the age of 87, Doris Johnson Peebles of Lillington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chesley Johnson and Arlie Mae Wester Johnson; and her siblings, Aaron Johnson, Sr., John Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Larry Johnson, Jessie Canady, Florine Penny and Edith Mangum.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Setzer of Stella, NC and Johnny Peebles, Jr. of Hubert, NC; her grandsons, Paul Setzer of Raleigh and Jason Setzer of Fuquay-Varina; her great grandchild Strom Setzer; and her sister Ramona Bethune of Bunnlevel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
