He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Eaton; and his stepmother Judy Carolyn Clifton Smith. He is survived by: his father James Lewis "Smitty" Smith of Lillington; his brothers, Scott Smith (April) of Fayetteville and Paul Smith (Bridget) of Willow Spring, NC; his half-sister Lora Schade of Morehead City; his nephews, Brandon Smith of Angier and Dustin Smith of Lillington; his niece Stormy Smith of Angier; and his cousin Paul Pace of Coats.
