He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Herbert Hood and Cleo Eula Veal Hood. He is survived by: his wife Dottie Gail Gregory Hood; his children, Charles Howard Hood, Jr. (Annette) of McGees Crossroads and Crystal Hood Thomas (Billy) of Lillington; his grandchildren, Hannah Hood D'Andrea, Charles Hunter Hood, Lillie Marie Hood, Lucas McCain Poole, Maggie Abbygail Poole and Emerson Rose Thomas; his great grandchildren, Lena Mae D'Andrea and Ezra James D'Andrea; and his brothers, Glenn Hood (Ann) of Jefferson and Robert "Bert" Hood (Patty) of Lillington.
In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
