She was predeceased by : her husband Allen Matthews; and her parents, Joab Baker and Vida Baker. She is survived by : her sons, Jeffrey Matthews and Skeeter Matthews; her siblings, Jerry Baker, Faye Arnold and Betty Ashworth; and her granddaughter Brittany Matthews. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
