He is survived by: his sons, Austin Matthews (Rocel) of Lillington and Anthony Matthews of Fuquay-Varina; his grandson Stetson Matthews; his brother Jason Matthews (Connie) of Lillington; his nephews, Cole and Seth Matthews; his niece Charlotte Matthews; his uncle Stuart Lee Matthews of Lillington; and his cousin Nathan Matthews of Winnabow.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home & Crematory (1310 S Main St, Lillington, NC 27546). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery (2264 421, Lillington, NC 27546).
