She was predeceased by: her husband John Samuel Suggs; and her brothers, Gene and Franklin Tutor. She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Suggs Dorman (Stephen Dorman) of Angier and Mistie Suggs Baker of Lillington; her granddaughter Amber Dorman of Angier; her great grandchildren, Patricia Hill of Angier and Fiona Hill of Angier; and her siblings, Marie Collins of Fuquay-Varina, Judy McLean of Black Mountain, Alvin Tutor of Lillington and Mary Thomas of Lillington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
