She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jefferson and Gladys Senter Lanier. She is survived by: her husband George Richardson Carroll, Jr.; her sister Doris S. Lanier; her former spouse Highway Patrolman; her children, Jeffery Lynn Carroll (Michal) of Lillington and Kathy Carroll Gower (Al) of Dunn; her sister Gail McDonald (Bobby) of Dunn; her grandchildren, Matthew Carroll (Jamie), Hope Tyndall (Brandon), David Carroll (Tiffany), Morgan Weber (Chip) and Georganna Gaines (Calvin); and her great grandchildren, Bobby Garcia, Jimi Garcia, Gavin Tyndall, Asher Tyndall, Reese Carroll, Pierce Carroll, Gavin Perez, Ruthie Carroll, Knox Weber, Patch Carroll, Cade Weber and Phillip Gaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill.
