He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Bennett. He is survived by: his son Edward Arttea Timmons of Charlotte, N. C.; his grandchildren, Cameron Timmons of Charlotte, NC and Brooklyn Smith; his mother Gladys Cox Bennett of Lilesville, NC; and his siblings, Barbara Coleman (Rick) of Columbia, SC, Mary Frances Ratliff (Arthur) of Wadesboro, NC, Cynthia Harrell (Russell) of Durham, NC and Charles Darrell Bennett (Rosha) of Oxford. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and an innumerable host of extended family and friends.
