He is survived by: his close friend Margie Elder; his children, Lois Cox, Joseph Mooney, Philip Mooney (Kay), Samuel Mooney (Tracy) and Marcus Mooney (Denise); his grandchildren, John Michael Mooney (Angela) and Brandy Mooney; his great grandchild Damon Vickery; and his brother LeRoy Mooney (Laura).
