She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brain and Fanny Post Brain; her husbands, John Mac Gowan and Joseph Miazgowicz; her son Douglas Mac Gowan; her stepson John Mac Gowan Jr.; and her siblings, Jessie Zuidema, Grace Marshman, Lenora Feiler, Donald, Jacob and William Brain.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Pardine (Joseph) of Hawthorne, NJ, Karen Stewart (John III) of Liberty, Jayne McCollum of Jasper, FL, Bonnie Jacobus of Huntsville, AL and Stephen Mac Gowan (Marie) of Liberty. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist temple at 2224 S Anthony Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
