He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Snider and Lula Allen Snider; his wife Daphne Ferguson Snider; his daughter Sylvia York; his grandson Adam York; and his siblings, Ruby Gregson, Dorothy Snider, Martha Hinshaw, Avah Snider, Allen Snider, Glenn Snider, Claude Snider and Arlis Snider.
He is survived by: his son Michael Allen Snider (Yvette); his son-in-law Thomas York; his grandchildren, Elisabeth York Bernhardt (Richard) and Matthew York (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Laurel, Grayson, Whitley and Silas.
