He was predeceased by: his wife Patty Cheek Dixon; his parents, Fred Dixon and Mozelle Welborn Dixon; his sister Janice D. Tupper; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Wilson and Stan Tupper.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Randall Dixon (Rita) of Asheboro and Kyle Dixon (Holly) of Franklinville; his siblings, Doris Wilson of Newton and Phil Dixon (Willa) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Miles Dixon (Arianne), Tyler Dixon (Kathryn), Blayne Dixon and Chloe Dixon; his great grandchildren, Ty Dixon, Drake Dixon, Cheyenne Dixon, Lilly Dixon, Ava Dixon and Margaret Vickory; and his pet Tinker Bell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
