She was predeceased by: her parents, David K. Wray and Madge C. Wray; her husband Dr. T. E. "Ed" Butler; her sister Johan K. Wray; and her granddaughter Lily Claire Butler.

She is survived by: her children, Shannon Stage (Steve) of Baton Rouge and Dr. T. E. "Chip" Butler Jr. (Carol) of Liberty; her grandsons, Benjamin Stage (Chelsea) of Baton Rouge, Samuel Stage of Boulder and Carter Butler of Liberty; and her great grandchildren, Henry and William Stage of Baton Rouge, Louisiana..
