He was predeceased by: his parents, John Norwood Sargent and Marjorie Chorlton Sargent. He is survived by: his spouse Ann Sargent; his daughter Wendy Sargent of Liberty; and his stepsons, Allen Jones (April) of Snow Camp and Mike Jones (Shizuko) of Cary. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
