He was predeceased by: his parents, Dugan Holt and Lovie Smith Holt Coble; his wife Nancy Jordan Holt; and his brothers, Frank Holt, Bob Holt, Elmer Holt, Harold Holt and Jim Holt.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Humble (Randy) and Jeanna Lynch (Randy); his grandchildren, Dallas Lynch (Ali), Nicholas Humble (Maddie) and Christopher (Tiffney); and his great grandchildren, Hudson Lynch, Ava Lynch and Neely Humble.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Smithwood Christian Church (6808 Kimesville Rd, Liberty, NC 27298). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
