He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Cornelius and Nonie Arrington Flinchum; and his siblings, Ruemell Brown, Roxie Wright, Lillian Clapp and Oliver Cornelius "O. C." Flinchum.
He is survived by: his wife Ila Lilly Flinchum; his stepdaughter Patricia Campbell; and his granddaughter Brandy Faulkner.
