She was predeceased by: her former husband Junior Joyce; her husband Peter Allen; her son Robert Berry Joyce; her parents, Harvey Smith and Ora May Smith; and her siblings, Shirley Smith, Inez Robertson, Paul Smith, Edward Smith and Odell Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Carlton Joyce of Liberty and Richard Joyce (Paula) of Liberty; her siblings, Jeanette Holden and Garland Smith; her grandsons, Adam Joyce (Ann) of Liberty, James Joyce (Sara Downing) of Washington, DC and Jacob Joyce of Liberty; and her great grandchildren, Rowan Joyce and Gabriel Joyce. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Smithwood Christian Church (6809 Kimesville Rd, Liberty, NC 27298). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
