It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DeLoris Glass Sands of Liberty, North Carolina, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Campbell Glass and Harvey Glass; her husband John Gilmer Sands; and her sisters, Ruth Stephens and Pauline Loy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Belinda Cheek (Tony Cheek) and Sherry Shepherd; her siblings, Joe Glass (Joanne Glass) and Catherine Perry; her grandchildren, Jennifer Kyritsis (Dan Kyritsis), Ashley Lowman (PJ Lowman), Cameron Cheek (Caryn Cheek), Sydney Shepherd and Lauren Shepherd; and her great grandchildren, Ryan Kyritsis, Noah Kyritsis, Mason Lowman, Blake Lowman, Sadie Lowman, Caleb Lowman, Hallie Cheek and Makenzie Cheek.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hickory Grove Traditional Methodist Church cemetery fund.
