He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Mattie Brooks Thompson; and his wife Doris Thomas Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Dollar, Nancy Cheek (Eric), Connie Young (Jay) and Randy Thompson (Kristi); and his sisters, Virginia Cobb and Gerrie Petree. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
