He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Clegg Swicegood (Dick) and Veigh Catherine Sink Swicegood. He is survived by: his wife Julia Essick Swicegood; his children, Meredith Duffey (Chris) and John Swicegood (Landace); his grandchildren, Katherine, Connor Duffey, Zoey and Piper Swicegood; and his sister Ruth Swicegood of Lexington.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tyro Methodist Church (4484 S Nc Hwy 150, Lexington, NC 27295).
