Virginia Sue Woodberry Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Sue Woodberry (Lexington, North Carolina), who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clifford Holt and Laura Lindsay Holt; her husband Will Woodberry; her sons, Byron Holt, Woody Woodberry, Reginald Woodberry and Keith Woodberry; and her siblings, Mary Ann Holt, Charles Holt, Josephine H. Gaddy, Garland Holt and Sylvester Holt.
She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn Holt, Charles Woodberry (Sylvia) and Adrian Woodberry (Nichol); her siblings, Ruth H. Small, Roy Holt (Pat), Sylvia H. Hargrave (Timothy) and Elnora H. Nance; and her sisters-in-law, Allie Mae Holt, Katherine W. Hoover and Clarissa Woodberry. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Service (701 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (210 Village Dr, Lexington, NC 27292). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at the Smith Grove View Baptist Church (8826 Linwood-Southmont Rd, Lexington, NC 27292).
