He was predeceased by: his mother Ada Mae Pennington Hankins; his sister Betty Jean Robicheau; and his brother-in-law Tim Love. He is survived by: his wife Jimmie "Elizabeth" Freedle Hankins; his children, Christopher Allen Hankins (Rhonda), Magnolia Fields and Catrina Watkins; his sisters, Jackie Vestal (Ralph) and Clara Love (Eddie Phillips); his grandson Reuben Hankins; his brother-in-law Eddie Robicheau; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Aker (Jim), Jennifer Craver (Zack), Amanda Crouch (Nathan), Angie Haynes, Daniel Love (Debbie) and Jeremy Haynes (Casey).
