He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Lee and Viola Fishel Hartman; and his siblings, C. D., Gene, John, Ethel James, Edna Essick, Ruby Weaver and Emma Jane Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Jean Leonard; and his son Mark Hartman of New York, NY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (600 Reedy Creek Baptist Church Rd, Lexington, NC 27295).
