He is survived by: his father George Leonard; his wife Jane Tysinger Benson; his sons, Brad Benson (Jennifer) of Lexington and Jason Benson of Lexington; his grandchildren, Carter, Jacob, Madison and Olivia; and his siblings, George Benson (Sharon), Ronnie Benson (Sindy), Carolyn Lentfer (Rick) of Lexington and Libby Hege (Dan) of Lexington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
