It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nevil Riley Barker of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Monroe Barker and Pearl Queen Barker; his wife Minnie Edwards Barker; and his son Keith Barker. He is survived by: his children, Tamara Gregory (Jody), Billy Barker (Leslie), Patricia Greene (Larry) and Laura Shupe (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Riley, Luke, Currin, Brittany, Tyler, Ryan, John Luke, Macie, Autumn, Mandy, Brian and Caleb. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the Parklawn Memorial Park (2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
