She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Johnson Milam and Rebecca Moncus Milam; her siblings, Bert Milam, Homer Milam, Myrtle Loman and Frances Craver; and her grandson Steven Dale Lawson Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Albert William Purdue (Faith) of High Point, Roger Purdue (Judy) of Tyro, Cleveland Purdue (Angela), Jeff Purdue (Cathy) of Southmont, Joyce Miller (Ricky) of Linwood and Janie Tucker. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
