We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2025, at the age of 50, Matthew Alan Smith of Lexington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Matthew Alan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Matthew Alan farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his parents, Burl J. Smith and Janet Riley Smith; his wife Jessica Ann Smith; his sons, Joshua Schulte and William Smith; his sister Pamela Boggs; and his grandsons, Connor Schulte and Waylon Schulte.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Piedmont Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Lexington Fire Department at 1600 West Center Street Ext, Lexington, NC 27292.
