It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Sue Cassidy of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman O'dell Barnes Sr. and Dorothy Byrd Barnes; and her close friend Emma Rawdon. She is survived by: her children, Richard Cassidy of Lexington and Wendy Bean (Hollie Purvis) of Lexington; her siblings, Thurman Barnes of Granite Quarry, Tony Barnes of Lexington, Carol Pastorick (Sidney) of West Virginia, JoAnn Plott (David) of Lexington and Paula Cassatt of Lexington; and her grandchildren, Alex Cassidy, Brooke Nye, Caleb Burris and Tristan Bean.
