She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Mock and Thelma Burkhalter Shoaf. She is survived by: her husband James R. Samuels; her children, Adrian Samuels (Jennifer), Crystal Samuels and Wesley Shane Samuels; her grandchildren, Anakin Samuels and Elyse Oliveira; her great grandchildren, Esme'Sain and Ariyah Grim; and her siblings, Wendell Shoaf (Kathy) and Catherine Fuehrerr (Paul).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Coggins Memorial Baptist Church (1306 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Forest Hill Memorial Park (1307 W Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27295).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson in memory of Laura A. Samuels.
