He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Young and Ollie Rhea Young; his wife Ruby Young; his daughter Rose Marie; and his siblings, Martha Frank and Charles Dallas Young.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Darrow (Mike), Randy Young (Sue), Terry Young (Iris) and Marty Young (Drema); and his sister Jean Shipton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel (301 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
