He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anita Akers McDaniel; his children, Stephanie McDaniel, Crystal McDaniel Wilfong (Chris) and Howard Lewis McDaniel, Jr.; his siblings, Jerry McDaniel and Debbie Wiseman (Steve); his grandchildren, Hannah McDaniel, Tristan Leonard, Kaitlyn Payne, Landon Teague, Kerri Cates, Colton McDaniel and Abby Wilfong; and his parents, Howard Jr. McDaniel (McDaniel) and Jenna McDaniel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Davidson Funeral Home (301 N Main St, Davidson, NC 28036). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
