He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Glenroy Grier, Sr. and Eleanor Kennedy Grier; his brother Bryant; and his grandson Zachary. He is survived by: his wife Christa-Maria Ursula; his children, Dedy Baker (Joseph), Niels Grier and Katja Mulligan (Tyler); his sister Eleanor Farmer; his cousins, James M. Kennedy III and Kenneth R. Kennedy; and his grandchildren, Andrew Berrier, Elise Berrier, Austin Berrier, Kathryn Grier, Conor Mulligan, Brinna Mulligan and Trevor Mulligan.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (13 W 3rd Ave, Lexington, NC 27292).
