It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Snider King of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Franklin Snider and Sarah Jane Williams Snider; her husband Wilbur Trevis Byrd; her daughters-in-law, Rebecca Byrd and Pamela Byrd; her siblings, R. G. Snider, Marvin Snider, Archie Lowe Snider, Ruby Snider, Theodocia Garner, Ultra Sowers and Sylvia Snider; and her stepson Stephen Ray King.
She is survived by: her sons, Barry Trevis Byrd of Faith, Kevin Archie Byrd (Debbie) of Winston-Salem and Anthony Tim Byrd of Lexington; and her stepdaughters, Brenda Ann Chapman (Steve) of Pawleys Island, SC and Pam King Purdy (Jim) of Burlington, NC.. She is also survived by Ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a great great-grandchild.
